| | Why Fundraise? We all want our students to enjoy a superior caliber music program, one far exceeding that which is defined by a free education according to California Ed Code, and we want them to be able to experience the thrill of success that comes with it. In order for this to happen, and in order to maintain and grow an organization such as ours, it takes great effort and committment. This effort and committment to excellence in education comes not only from our educators (who are the best out there - highly educated and skilled, professional, as well as frugal with our tax and fundraising dollars), but also from the parents and students in our Clovis Unified School District community, and Clovis North in particular. It is through this three-fold committment from teacher, student and parent that our students will experience the highest possible degree of success in public education, and it is this committment which sets us apart from other school districts. It's why we put our kids in Clovis schools. We know that while our student's education may be public, we are equally responsible for it's success. As parents, it is through our dedication and hard work in the area of emotional, physical, and financial (fundraising) support that our student's superior public music education will not only survive, but grow and thrive. It takes much more than tax dollars to enjoy a superior program like ours. Our program must be supported through fundraising in order to experience continued success. Please support your student's music program by making a committment to setting and attaining a personal annual fundraising goal towards this end. Without fundraising, our student's music education as we know it, will not survive, grow or thrive. The Bronco Band Booster Organization is dedicated to helping you in your efforts to achieve collective and personal fundraising goals for our band and colorguard program. In order to achieve these goals, we offer many fundraisers throughout the entire school year, in fact more than the majority of other groups on campus. All of these fundraising activities allow families to help our organization financially so we may meet our operational needs as well as save to purchase things we need as a new organization. We want our student's program to thrive and even to be the best. By taking part in each fundraising event and by making a committment to setting and attaining personal annual fundraising goals to help finance our program, you can easily raise enough funds to take care of the financial needs of our program opportunities for the year, as well as save for future needs. Remember, it is ONLY through your donations and fundraising efforts that this can happen. | Here's a general overview of our budgetary expenses for the CNEC bands and colorguard 2010-2011 school year. Under Construction - not updated yet $58,000 All Fall band activities and Spring concert band activities This includes stipends for talented and specialized staff and judges, music, field show drills and composition, transportation, props (including flags), entrance fees, concert hall rentals, equipment rentals, equipment repairs, maintenance for facilities and equipment, and other overhead outside of the classroom not covered by a "free education." It does not include the cost of uniforms items such as gloves and shoes or guard uniforms and warm ups, nor does it include any expenses for special trips. $11,000 Competition season for GR and CN Winter Guard This include many of the items mentioned above as related to Winter Guard. $14,000 Competition season for GR and CN Winter Percussion This includes many of the items mentioned above as related to Winter Percussion. The above expenses are bare-bones, scrape by expenses, that will merely enable our program to continue operating in it's present form. Without the raising of a MINIMUM of these funds, we may have to consider cutting performing opportunities outside the classroom for our students. To really grow our young program by being able to make purchases that our program needs for long-term operations, such as a semi truck, scissor lift, etc. and to be able to provide our students with exceptional performing opportunities, we must attain a fundraising achievement level far above this measure. Additionally, the district now requires us to have our funds for each new school year secured PRIOR to the beginning of that school year. This means that for (this) school year 2009-2010, we must not only raise funds to finish covering this year's expenses, but by the end of this school year, we are required to have completely secured funding for 2011-2012 as well. This makes fundraising for this year (2010-2011) in particular, critical, as both this year AND next year depend on it. In order to operate, it is critical that we ensure that we have a positive balance in our Foundation account throughout the year. At present, we are behind in our goal. We all know that it takes funds to have a program like ours, and that funding, whether public or private, doesn't magically happen. Now is the time for us to make good on our fundraising and/or donation committments that were made in good faith at the beginning of the year. Please take the time to consider what you can do to help us reach our goal. | THE WISH LIST We are always in need of items to help run our organization, especially in our inaugural years. If anyone knows someone, has, or would be willing to donate the following items to our organization, it would be greatly appreciated. · 27’ or 32’ scissor lift with outdoor wheels (needed from Sept.- Nov.) · 3 - gorilla 3 or 4 shelf storage racks (or similar racks) · Portable uniform storage and hat racks (custom made) · 3, 6 foot folding tables |
